Student : How do you look at the British victory at the Battle of Plassey?
Mr Sinha : The Battle of Plassey was a predetermined battle fought with treason and treachery . This battle gave way to the British to loot and plunder India which was then known as the 'Sone Ki Chidiya' or the golden bird.
Student : How was it a Turning Point in the History of India?
Mr Sinha : The Battle was a turning point in the history of India as it led the way to the political, economic and military supremacy of India. Prior to this India was ruled by the foreign rulers who came as conquerors and stayed here. But the British came here with the intention of colonisation and they never thought of India as their own country.
